Car and Driver magazine has long been regarded by automotive enthusiasts as being the go-to resource for all things having to do with the auto industry. Known for its no-nonsense, "tell it like it is" approach to its rigorous instrumented tests of cars from a range of automakers, it's easy to see why so many car shoppers put their stock in what the folks at C/D have to say about a particular model.
Recently, one of our very own new entrants, the new 2017 Audi A4, was put to test. We here at Audi South Austin were pleased to see that not only did the new A4 fare quite well, it was actually determined to be the reviewer's top pick in the entry-luxury car class, besting longtime rivals, the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
Says Car and Driver, “In the final analysis, Audi’s new A4 is a class leader in refinement, technology, and interior design. Its chassis dynamics and exterior haven’t made as big a leap, but the car remains an adept, if secure, handler wrapped in an elegant four-door envelope. It doesn’t make much noise about it, but the A4 possesses a quiet competence that is as wonderful as it is easily misunderstood.”
All-in-all, their final verdict was this: the 2017 A4 emerges as "the segment's total package with equal parts tech, luxury, and sportiness."
