The new 2017 Audi A4 continues to deliver a best-in-class driving experience among luxury sports sedans. The year's edition includes notable improvements in terms of interior amenities and onboard technology.

Audi A4 vs. Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Standard equipment on the Audi A4 allows drivers the experience of being powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-inline 4-cylinder with 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The engine of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class also achieves 273 lb-ft of torque, but its horsepower falls short at a rating of only 241. When examining the zero to 60 times of both the Audi A4 model with Quattro® all-wheel drive versus the Mercedes-Benz C-Class with available 4MATIC, the A4 clocks in at an impressive 5.7 seconds, while the Mercedes-Benz lags behind, coming in at 6.2 seconds.

The Mercedes-Benz is certainly a solid choice, but Austin, TX car shoppers should be prepared for a good deal of sticker shock: the C-Class will set you back several thousand dollars more than a comparably equipped A4, so you can opt up for more add-ons if you so desire.

Audi A4 vs. BMW 3 Series

The standard equipment on the new A4 includes 2.0 TFSI® 4-cylinder engine which provides Austin area drivers with an impressive 252 horsepower; the BMW 3 Series sedan 328i, on the other hand cranks out only 240 horspower. As for torque, the A4 again proves victorious with 273 pound-feet of torque while the BMW 328i offers only 255 pound-feet by comparison.

Many believe BMW to be the benchmark in luxury, and yet, the 3 Series is lacking in certain areas in its interior design and interface, giving the A4 somewhat of a leg up. For example, both a sunroof and rear view camera are standard on the Audi A4, while each of these luxuries are only optional on the BMW variant.
